The MDA 2007 Melbourne Cup Luncheon

 

The MDA 2007 Melbourne Cup Lunch was sold out!

From the time guests arrived at The Alchemy Room at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre to see the life size horse supplied by Bonnett's Saddlery with Leon the Jockey holding him back, you could sense it was going to be a day of fun – regardless of the equine flu!!

A sell out crowd enjoyed a 4 hour action packed day of fun, fashion and frivolity.  Guests celebrated the race that stops the nation with a  sumptuios 3 course meal washed down with magnificent wines generously donated by Rex Watson of Coonawarra, Prince Hill Wines & Cassegrain, and beer donated by Coopers.

 
Professional models from Tanya Powell Model Agency strutted their stuff on the catwalk to showcase the latest designs from House of Obrigada.

 
Cheeky Boys waiters assisted our own MDA volunteers in selling the sweeps and raffles.

 

Best Dressed & Best Hat each received a beautiful presentation bouquet compliments of Tynte Flowers.

 

Just like Makybe Diva, the breathtaking Bev from Hipflask Productions was back for the 3rd year running as our glamorous hostess for the day.

 

Stephen Venn, from Brock Harcourts Colonel Light Gardens donated his auctioneering services for the 7th consecutive year. 
Guests all received a fantastic Dr LeWinn’s Wish bag generously donated by Dr LeWinn’s and Chemplus

 

The 2007 MDA Melbourne Cup Lunch was a huge success raising valuable funds for South Australian children and adults with a neuromuscular condition
