Respite Area
At the Association there is a self-contained respite unit where people can book in to stay on an overnight basis, for a minimal fee. This area is used primarily to enable people from the country to attend medical appointments
or MDA events, although it can be used by others for respite or holiday purposes.
The facilities provided include:
- 2 electric single beds, 1 double sofa bed,1 single fold-up bed
- All linen is provided
- Kitchen facilities including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric frypan, crockery, cutlery and glassware
- Accessible bathroom including shower chair and hoist
- We’ve also thought about your entertainment – providing TV, stereo and games for the kids!
The Respite Area is available for hire 7 days a week, is fully air-conditioned and secure parking is available.
Prices are:
MDA Registered Clients 1 person and carer More than 2 people |
$30.00 per night $40.00 per night |
NON MDA Registered Clients 1 person and carer |
$40.00 per night $50.00 per night |
Please note:
One carer of the person with a disability is free. First preference will be given to MDA clients, but we are happy to accept bookings from other agencies/individuals if vacancies exist.
